Sululta woreda administrator has been shot dead. The incident happened on Wednesday. Sululta woreda is situated in north Shewa zone of the Oromia region.
According to local sources, the attack on woreda chief was carried out by the fighters of the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA). Abebe Worku, the woreda chief, was assassinated in Moye Gajo area in Sululta. Reportedly, woreda’s security chief, who was accompanying the woreda administrator, was kidnapped by OLA fighters. Several security officials were also killed in this attack by the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA).
Last year, Legesse Seyoum, Sululta district police commander, was also killed in a similar attack by the same armed group.
