Awash Bank Profit for 2025/2026 Nearly Doubles
Awash bank profit for 2025/2026 nearly doubled. In financial year 2024/2025, Awash Bank reported a pre-tax profit of 22.7 billion Birr. This week the bank announced that it recorded 40.7 billion birr profit for the fiscal year 2025/2026.
Awash Bank in recent years has shown sustained growth. Formerly known as Awash International Bank, Awash bank was established in February 1995. It has a network of around 990 branches across Ethiopia.
Awash bank is Ethiopia’s largest private bank and its headquarters is located in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. In April this year, Awash bank entered Ethiopian Stock Exchange. It offered 37 million shares for sale out of total 54 million shares.
