Ethiopian Airlines Revenue 2025/26

Ethiopian Airlines generated $9.1 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2025/26. The Airlines today released its operational report for the 2025/2026. The report was presented by Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group.

According to the report, the Airlines transported 20.7 million passengers during the fiscal year.The first quarter of the year was particularly productive, and while the challenges in the Gulf region towards the end of the year had some impact, overall it was a good year.

The airline has added 4 new international destinations, bringing the total number of international destinations to 150. It has increased the number of domestic destinations from 22 to 25. Nine new aircraft were added to the fleet through purchase and lease during the fiscal year. The number of flights operated during the year increased by 8 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, which is 96 percent of the plan. The airline transported 20.7 million passengers, which is a 10 percent increase compared to the previous fiscal year, but 98 percent of the plan.

The amount of cargo transported also increased by 16 percent compared to the previous fiscal year. Overall, while the increase in flights and cargo transported was between 8 and 16 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, it is still below our planned targets. According to the CEO, airline’s expenses increased by 25 percent compared to the previous year, which was due to the sharp increase in fuel prices as a result of the war in the Gulf region.
