Berhan Bank Register 5.06 billion Birr Profit for 2025/26

Berhan bank has announced profit for 2025/26 fiscal year. The bank recorded rapid growth, profitability, revenue and customer deposits. According to Berhan bank, its pre-tax profit reached 5.06 billion Birr showing 76.9% increase from the previous year. It recorded 12.37 billion Birr in total revenue, a 46.6% increase from the last year.
Customer deposits also appear to have strengthened during the last fiscal year showing an increase by 25.6%. The amount of customer deposits for the 2025/26 fiscal year has not been disclosed. Customer deposits are important because banks rely on customer deposits to provide loans to businesses and individuals. The bank further strengthened its financial foundation by increasing its paid-up capital to 6.33 billion, a 47.5% increase from the previous year. Paid-up capital is the total amount of money a company receives from shareholders in exchange for shares.
Berhan Bank generated US$407.18 million in foreign exchange during 2025/26. It opened 11 new branches expanding its network to 376 branches across Ethiopia. The bank has upgraded its core banking system improving the speed, security and efficiency of banking services. It has expanded its ATM network too and launched a micro digital lending service.
