Amhara Bank Records 2 Billion Birr Gross Profit in 2025/26
Amhara Bank registered over 2 billion birr gross profit in 2025/26. It tripled previous year’s earnings.
According to an official statement released on the bank’s social media platforms, this represents a massive threefold increase compared to the same period last fiscal year. The bank highlighted that this landmark profitability was achieved despite navigating numerous macroeconomic and operational challenges throughout the fiscal year.
“Amhara Bank has successfully concluded the 2018 fiscal year by registering remarkable results in accordance with set performance benchmarks,” the bank’s official statement read.
Amhara Bank has over 321 branches across Ethiopia with over 3 million customers. Its headquarters is located on Ras Mekonnen Avenue in the Leghar (Legahar) district of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It started banking operations in June 2022.
