Ethio Telecom Earned $581 Million Profit in 2025/26
Ethio Telecom earned $581 Million profit in 2025/26 G.C. (2018 E.C.) fiscal year. The company’s CEO Frehiwot Tamiru has shared details.
According to the press release issued by Ethiopian state owned Telecommunication company, its revenue rose to $1.35 billion in 2025/26, a 33.2% increase compared with the last year. The company stated it has registered $581 million net profit in 2025/26, showing 47.5 % increase, compared with 2024/25. Total number of Ethio Telecom customers has reached more than 90 million.
In October 2024, Ethio telecom was partially privatized and it launched an initial public offering (IPO) to sell a 10% stake to the public. The company was later listed on the Ethiopian Securities Exchange in May 2026. More than 47,000 Ethiopian citizens have become shareholders in the company.
