Ethiopian General Rashid Ibrahim

Ethiopian Army General Rashid Ibrahim has allegedly joined Fano militia. Rashid Ibrahim Ali was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in September this year.

According to sources aligned with Fano militia, the General disappeared along with dozens of the Ethiopian military soldiers this week. Allegedly he has joined Fano militia. Since 2023, Amhara Fano militias have been fighting the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and regional forces in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.

So far, ENDF has not responded to claims by Fano that Ethiopian General Rashid Ibrahim has joined Fano. Fano sources have shown no evidence about the General having joined Fano. But they have announced that they will release the evidence soon.

This week, Ethiopian military Colonel Zerihun was killed in the Amhara region. Fano fighters claimed that the Colonel had been killed in a drone strike conducted by the Ethiopian air force on a prisoner camp in Ayna Bugna woreda. Colonel Zerihun was captured by Fano fighters over a month ago.
