Ethiopian Govt Raises Fuel Prices to 129.12 Birr

Ethiopian Govt today raised fuel prices. Prices of Gasoline, Petrol and Kerosene oil have been increased. According to the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, the new price is 129.12 birr. The new price took effect today at 12:00 pm.

Price of Gasoline has been raised from 122.53 to 129.12 birr. While prices of Diesel and Kerosene oil have been increased from 116.49 each to 129.12 birr. Since last year, fuel prices have been rising in Ethiopia. Declining value of Ethiopian currency birr is said to be one of the main reasons behind surge in fuel prices. Since January this year, the government has increased fuel prices by around 30%.
